Council and administration are very pleased to announce the reopening of the Westmount Conservatory on June 23, 2022.

Please join Mayor Christina M. Smith and Council members for the official ribbon-cutting on Thursday, June 23 at 4 p.m. Enjoy a performance by talented harpist Matt Dupont, whose music will immerse you in the beauty of Westmount’s newly-renovated architectural gem. Refreshments will be served from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Built in 1927, the Westmount Conservatory has been carefully restored to preserve its beauty for the citizens of today and tomorrow. The work included a complete restoration of the exterior envelope, and a redesign of the interior, adapted to the aesthetic, functional and architectural values of the Conservatory. A very appreciated facility by Westmounters and others, this heritage jewel was closed for 7 years during the extensive planning, design and restoration work.

The last phase to complete this project is the development of the Conservatory courtyard garden and the Storytelling Garden. These are at the design phase, and the work is scheduled to be carried out in the summer of 2023.
