We are aware that some of our residents may struggle to bring their waste to the street-side or lane-side collection point, due to physical limitations or other restrictions. Here are some of our suggestions:
- We recommend purchasing a bin with wheels that is easy to roll to the curb. Please make sure your wheeled garbage bin has a European grip (not an American grip), that it holds a maximum of 360 litres, and that it is black or grey. Most hardware stores carry these in stock.
- Your bin can be kept in a location close to street side at all times, near the edge of your property, so long as it is not clearly visible outside of collection days. This will make it easier to move the bin to and from the street side collection point.
- If a bin is too heavy, garbage bags can also be placed street side from 7 a.m. on the collection day for your sector.
